Martha’s
Biography

Martha DuSage is an author, mentor, and energetic facilitator specializing in helping survivors of abuse transform and transcend that experience, empowering them to live life on their terms. She guides others to be confident in their capacity to pursue happiness.
She achieved best-seller status with her book Why Bother? Because Self-Help is Never Stupid, published in 2014. Beyond Abuse: An Empowered Journey of Soul, Science, & Self-Help is her latest expanded and reimaged work on healing from abuse.
Martha believes, and others will testify that this work is her calling. Martha has been a leader throughout other careers, spanning various fields, but her restless soul was always drawn to things of a more mystical nature. Searching for more profound truth and wisdom while extensively exploring the area of natural health, fitness, and wellness led to this calling.
Crusading as a board member with a small organically grown community group, battling a large corporation on an environmental issue, the group rose victorious after four years.
She owned a well-established insurance agency as a single mother until her calling became too strong to resist. The calling was met with much controversy and criticism from a dysfunctional family, but abuse knows no boundaries and
is too important to ignore. She chose to follow her heart and soul.
Much strength and influence came from inspirational mentors such as Caroline Myss, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Neil Douglas-Klotz, and many other teachers of spiritual wisdom. Particular credit is given to her mentor, Keith Varnum. Martha took those teachings craftily, weaving them to direct more specific attention to all those who suffer
from the long-term effects of abuse.
With over 30 years of discovery, study, practice, and combined methodologies, Martha shares her treasure map to healing from abuse and helps others find the keys to joy in their adventure.
The companion course to Beyond Abuse will be launching late summer of 2022. Her next book, Sex is not Love & Love Is Not Sex: The Many Meanings of Intimacy, will be released in mid-2023.
